Career Workshop

Dublin City Public Libraries' Business Centre, as part of their Career Direction and Development Programme, will host a FREE workshop entitled 'Converting Your Career in Today's Market'. The workshop will be hosted by career coach Jane Downes who will provide useful tips on adapting your skills to the current job market.
Jane is one of Irelands best known Career Coaches and author of The Career Book– Help for the Restless Realist. She owns Clearview Coaching Group, a Career Coaching and Training business which she established in 2004 following an extensive career working in the area of recruitment and HR consulting. In addition, Jane regularly writes for the National Press and currently holds the position of weekly career doctor with the Metro Herald and is regularly invited to speak on national radio. In 2010 Jane held the position of weekly Career Expert on TV3’s “ The Morning Show”.
The workshop will take place in the Business Information Centre, Central Library, on 13th November, 2012, at 1pm.
Admission is FREE and all are welcome. However, due to popular demand, booking is recommended, either in person at the Business Information Centre, or by telephoning (01) 873 3996, or by emailing businesslibrary@dublincity.ie

Your Welfare Rights -Free Information Day

Dublin City Public Libraries' Business Centre will provide a FREE information and advice stand providing information on Welfare, Work, Education and Training Options for unemployed people.
The stand is entitled
"Your Welfare Rights" and will focus on the latest edition of the booklet
"Working for Work" 19th edition, which was recently published by the
Irish National Organisation of the Unemployed (I.N.O.U.).
If you have any general queries in relation to Social Welfare entitlements, you can visit the Business Information Cente, from 2.30pm - 4.30pm on Tuesday, 23rd October, 2012, where a member of staff from the I.N.O.U. will be on hand to assist.
If you have a specific or a personal query, you can arrange to make a private appointment with the I.N.O.U. at a later date.
