Off Campus Access to electronic resources

DIT Library subscribes to a variety of electronic resources. Access to these services is restricted to current DIT Staff and Students who are registered with the Library. If you would like to access our services from outside the DIT network please follow the steps below:

1. Go to: http://dit.ie/library/index.html

2. Choose Databases or Electronic Journals or ebooks

3. You willl be asked for Authentication in one of the following ways:

• ID Number and Library PIN *
• /Institutional Login** choose "Irish Edugate Federation" then DIT . At the "Logon to DIT IS" screen input your DIT no. and email password.
• Unique Username and Password - see Usernames and Passwords file below.

Aungier St. Library will be closed on Monday 6th August.

Upper Floor Re-opens @ Aungier St

The building works on the stairwell in Aungier St Library have been completed ahead of schedule, and the upper floor of the library is open again.
Apologies for the inconvenience of the last few days.

Due to essential building works, the upper floor of the library will be closed from Friday 20th July until 1st August. Please ask at the Service Point if you require any materials.

FAME Database

Fame is Changing the way it manages SIC Codes In October 2011 the UK SIC 2007 codes were added to Fame. These are the official codes used by Companies House and replace the 2003 classification. Currently Fame includes both the 2003 and 2007 versions of the UK SIC codes. In early June (2012) the 2003 classifications will be removed from Fame. The 2007 classification offers more detail for companies in the IT services and related industries. Converting your codes Fame has a tool to help you convert the UK SIC 2003 codes to UK SIC 2007. You can find this in the Help menu on Fame under "TOOLS".

Library Opening Hours

We apologise for the closure of Aungier Street library last night at very short notice.  This was caused by unexpected staff sickness. 

The normal library opening hours will resume today, Wednesday.  

We are reviewing our response to this situation in order to minimise the impact on library services in future.

Aungier Street Library Closing at 5pm

The library at DIT Aungier Street will close today Tuesday 8th May at 5pm.

This is due to a staffing shortage. The nearest alternative library is at DIT Kevin Street.

The computer labs in Aungier Street will remain open this evening.
