Past Exam Papers

Past exam papers can be accessed from the library website. See Aungier Street Library's Exam Papers Guide for information on how to do this.

If you're accessing the papers from off-campus you'll be prompted to log in. 

You can find the username and password for off-campus access to the exam papers here by entering your student number and Library PIN. Please note that the username and password for off-campus access to the Exam Papers is different to those that you use to access library databases and e-journals. 

Alternatively call the library at 01-402 3068, or send us a message through Ask a Librarian and we'll tell you how to log in.

Postgraduate Room – Silent Study Area

Thanks to all of you who answered the Postgraduate Room survey.  We are currently analysing your responses, but first want to address an issue that many of you have raised: noise levels in the Postgraduate Room.

The majority of people who responded to the survey expressed a desire for the room to be a quiet study area.  We will put up signs to this effect so that all users of the room are aware of the need to be quiet.

Postgraduate students who want to work in groups still have the option of using one of the library’s eight group study rooms.

We hope that letting everyone know that the room is intended to be a quiet study room will solve any problems of noise in the room. If you need help from the library staff, however, please just let us know.

"Fix" for Problem with Endnote Web Plug-In for Word

We've learned that some people are experiencing problems with the Endnote Web plug-in for Word which means that in-text references are not being formatted in the correct style (usually APA 6th ) and Reference lists are not being compiled correctly either, so their Word document looks something like this:

The solution to this problem is to choose Preferences from the Endnote Web toolbar and, under the General tab, make sure that the "Enable Instant Formatting on new Word documents" box is ticked (see below).

Once you've ticked the box you'll need to re-start Word for the change to take effect.

Calling all Aungier St postgraduate students - the Library Postgraduate Room Survey has just two days left to run.

The survey takes just a couple of minutes, so please let us know what you think of the room. The survey closes on Friday 14th March.

St Patrick's Weekend @ Aungier St

FAME Training Session - Fri 14 March, 1pm Library Training Room

Jonathan Cluny, our account rep from Fame, will deliver a training session on Fame in Aungier St library’s Training Room at 1pm  on Friday 14^th March.

Fame provides access to company profiles and a range of financial information, including financial statements and ratios in relation to British and Irish companies.  It also allows users to generate lists of companies meeting certain criteria, e.g. a list of companies in a particular industry and in a particular geographic area.

Free Access to All Palgrave Macmillan journals during March 2014

Palgrave Macmillan is offering free online access to all its journals for the month of March. This includes all current and archival content for their Business and Management, Economics,Finance, Marketing,  Politics and International Relations, and Social and Cultural Studies journals.

No login is necessary to access these journals for free until 31st March.

Library Postgraduate Room Survey - Reminder

A reminder that the Library Postgraduate Room Survey is still open until Friday 14th March.

The room is available to all postgraduate students and requires a door code for access. If you're a postgraduate student and missed your library induction, please ask at the library desk or check your DIT email account for details of the code.
