Emerald Database - 'Read-Only' access Tuesday 6th June

Maintenance on Emerald’s research platform, Emerald Insight, is scheduled to take place on Tuesday 6 June 2017 beginning at 08:00 GMT - lasting for up to 12 hours.

During this time, the site will be placed into ‘read-only’ mode, making the following functionality unavailable for the duration of the upgrade:

• Activating access tokens
• Adding publications as favourites
• Alert subscriptions
• Any changes to ‘My Account’ and ‘Institutional Account’
• E-commerce
• Registration
• Search.

Should you access the website during this time, you will receive a notification that the site functionality is temporary unavailable within your browser. Please note that this may also affect some functionality on emeraldpublishing.com.

This essential website maintenance is part of Emerald’s customer focused development initiative, which aims to deliver an enhanced user experience to their customers.

Changes to Opening Hours Week starting June 5th

The Library will be closed on Bank Holiday Monday June 5th and also Wednesday 7th June to accommodate the annual DIT Library Staff Seminar.

Summer opening hours will resume on Thursday 8th June

Planning Ahead: Summer Services in Aungier Street Library 2017

Have you got a dissertation or thesis to research over the summer?

Are you planning out your work schedule?

Aungier St. Library will be open from 9am-5pm Monday to Friday throughout the summer months, beginning Monday 22nd May. 

We have put together a package of Summer Services aimed at bringing the Library to straight to you. These services will continue until term-time opening hours resume on 11th September.

Exams

To access past exam papers off campus you will need a unique username and password.

Passport - Only Available On Campus

There's an issue at the moment with off-campus access to Passport (Euromonitor), but it's working fully on-campus.

Please contact our librarians if you're off-campus and need to access a particular report in Passport.

In the meantime, we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Scheduled downtime for Taylor & Francis online

Taylor & Francis Online: database maintenance, Wednesday 25th January
(23:00 GMT) to Thursday 26th January (03:00 GMT).

The Library  subscribes to a number of online journals from Taylor & Francis. Due to the scheduled database maintenance we anticpate that access to some resources may be affected. 

 Taylor & Francis anticipate this maintenance will take four hours.

New Interface for Emerald database

Users of the Emerald database will notice a brand new user interface when they log in today. 

To tie in with their new company branding, and in response to customer feedback, Emerald Insight has been launched today with:

• a new logo,
• new user interface, 
• and new enhancements to the subject browse pages. 

The underlying site structure, features and functionality, and content are untouched, so your navigation around the site will be just the same as it is now, just with a new look and feel.
