The annual Horizon Report , now available at
http://www.nmc.org/pdf/2007_Horizon_Report.pdf describes the continuing work of the New Media Consortium’s Horizon project – a research oriented effort that seeks to identify and describe emerging technologies likely to have a large impact on teaching, learning or creative expression within higher education. Covering topics as diverse as emerging forms of publication, gaming and user-created content and given adoption horizons of 1-5 years, the report makes for compulsory (and fascinating) reading.
