Emerald E-Books Trial until 17 March

Our subscription to Emerald Management Plus provides access to scholarly business and management articles. Emerald also offer access to business, management, economics, and social sciences e-books, to which we do not currently subscribe.

Emerald have organised a free trial to their e-books for us. The e-books can be searched and accessed from within the Emerald Management Plus databases in addition to our usual access to journal articles - no special login is required to access the additional content during the period of the trial.

The trial runs until 17th March.

Free e-book on Internet Marketing

Marketers - have you seen The Essential Step-by-Step Guide to Internet Marketing? It's a free e-book published by HubSpot, a marketing software company.

Whilst not a substitute for the books available via the library, this book does provide an introduction to Internet marketing for marketers who are new to the subject. You can view the Table of Contents here and see what you think.

Access to All Library Resources Restored

Thanks to our colleagues in Information Services, work on the library server has finished ahead of schedule.

Access to all library resources, both on- and off-campus, has been restored.

Off-Campus Access to Library Databases

Our guide to off-campus access to the library's databases, electronic journals and e-books is available on the  Aungier Street library website.

As you'll see from the guide, when accessing databases, electronic journals and e-books from outside DIT's network you will be prompted to authenticate in one of two ways:

1. If you see a BLUE login screen, log in with your staff/student number and your DIT email password (initially your date of birth in ddmmyyyy format).

2. If you see a WHITE login screen, log in with your staff/student number and Library PIN. You create your Library PIN for yourself.

There is a "Forgot your PIN" link if you already have a Library PIN but have forgotten it.

Any questions, please contact the library at 01-402-3068 or ast.library@dit.ie or @DitAungierStLib
